The Griswold Inn Store ~ Goods & Curiosities, features an eclectic mix of products inspired by the Inn and New England – from their Early American and maritime heritage to Connecticut lifestyle and entertaining today.

Items include creatively-branded ‘Gris’ merchandise, hand-crafted and Connecticut-made products, limited edition prints of The Griswold Inn’s renowned art collection, home goods, select books, unique toys, artisan jewelry, specialty foods…traditional, whimsical, and contemporary ~ Goods & Curiosities. The Store’s displays and assorted collection of interesting goods are continually changing, promising a pleasant discovery with each visit.

We are located at 47 Main Street, directly across the street from the Main Inn.

UPCOMING EVENTS
Saturday, April 28th ~ Meet the Authors ~ It’s the 4th Annual Independent Bookstore Day and we’re celebrating! To commemorate the event we will host three Connecticut authors, in-store for conversation and book signing. Complimentary refreshment will be available all afternoon as well as special pricing on select books.

Ann Nyberg

     

Ann Nyberg is a dynamic and accomplished woman perhaps best known as a marquee anchor on Connecticut television news. Ann also has her own website, Network Connecticut, where she writes about the many fascinating people and places in our state. Most recently she has authored a book about one such fascinating person, Remembering Katharine Hepburn.

Wick Griswold

          

Wick Griswold, author and associate professor of sociology at the University of Hartford, is passionate about all aspects of history on the Connecticut River. He has authored numerous historical books on related topics, his most recent, Connecticut River Ferries.

 

Erik Ofgang

         

Erik Ofgang is an award-winning writer whose work regularly appears in dozens of magazines and newspapers throughout the country. Though his “regular” gig is as staff writer and content curator at Connecticut Magazine, Erik finds time to author books as well. His latest, Gillette Castle, examines the fascinating history of what has become one of Connecticut’s most popular tourist destinations.
