In our Tap Room, Executive Chef Jim Gallagher features casual fare prepared exactly the way it was meant to be. Always straightforward, Chef Jim's menus include burgers, house-made soups and chowders, fish 'n chips, and salads.

Our Tap Room, originally built in 1735 as a schoolhouse, was attached to The Gris in 1801 by a team of oxen, rolling it on logs down Main Street. It has been called the most handsome barroom in America, the best-looking drinking room in America, and variations on this sentiment expressed by many. Certainly it is an original. We are open seven days a week and entertain every night with live music and a spirited atmosphere.

The Kokosingers Perform Jan 8

The Kenyon College Kokosingers, an a cappella men's group, make a return engagement to the Tap Room on January 8 from 6-8 pm. The talented and spirited "Kokes" have a repertoire that ranges from Barbershop to Beatles to current pop hits.
