British Raid on Essex Bicentennial


Savor a culinary experience inspired by the food and drink of the early 19th century. A special menu featuring popular foods of the day will be offered in addition to a complete menu of seasonal fare and ‘Gris' classics. 1814 Tavern Night

A Musical Evening 1814 Style May 9

Musicians Morneault and Spencer bring The Griswold Inn's 1801 Tap Room to life with music of the era. A capella harmonies and other arrangements with a variety of instruments including mandolin, guitar and banjo, will bring the atmospheric Tap Room back two centuries. Costumed wait staff as well as British "soldiers" and local "militia" add to the authenticity.
